Just gotta keep Chu away from the Dodrio Berry Picking game right?

Lol, right. If we ever go to the sevii islands, anyway.

Somehow... I think I'd want a Chikorita or Bayleef... But somehow, I think having those pokemon might mess up Rei's emotions a lot more...
Then again, Eevee was always high up on my favorites list, Espeon being the top favorite.

Hmm...maybe, but sometimes it has something to do with how the pokemon is presented too. I've thought of one way to give a chicorita (although I probably wouldn't be able to resist giving it a certain PC2 move...) without causing any mental damage...though it might get a bit emotional for a while.

Hmmm.... lately, I've been thinking, and I figured that a lotad/lombre/ludicolo would be useful as a tank on my team, replacing my weak beedrill while still fitting in with the forest theme.
((AND, giving me some chances for water and ice-type attacks...))

Ludicolo isn't so much a tank as he is a drainer or special sponge/sweeper. But good choice though.

Ah yes, AND he's a lively dancing pokemon! A perfect fit for playful, optimistic Banov (as long as he isn't in battle, anyway.)
EDIT: And how is Colo NOT a tank? He's got plentiful hp and defenses, plus a healing ability (water dish) and lots of recovery moves (Mega + Giga Drain).

Banov has a point....in Pokemon Emerald Ludicolo is a powerhouse as far as Wallace's pokemon go, unless of course you have a good flying type about 10 levels higher...which I did not...

His Hp and special D. are admirable. But with a physical D. with a max of 262 that doesn't give him much help against any pokemon with a decent poison, flying, or bug move. Keep in mind, that 262 is with the proper nature as well as +252 defense EVs, meaning you lower your over all Sp. Def and HP. Your best bet is to BP a mean look on a special sweeper to your colo. With no special weaknesses, and .25x resistance against water attacks (a common element of any special sweeper) your ludicolo with even a half-decent moveset will laugh at that sweeper while it begs for mercy.

If I need physical defense then I don't think I'd bother to leave it in or even send it out against someone known to have poison, bug or flying pokemon

That's the point. It can't be an overall tank without good defense against what it is weak against. Dusclops is a good example of a proper tank. With max DVs and EV's in all categories, it can have 394 Def and 394 Sp def ( www.psypokes.com/dex/pokedex.php?id=356&view=stats ). Although that leaves it with relatively few Hp, such high stats more than cover for that loss.

*Shrug*
Kecleon is actually not bad at tanking, it seems... it has invisibility which increases its longevity... naturally high sp. def... and mine has a hardy nature, so its got a good boost to defense ^_^

I'm not saying don't use a lotad in the RP. I'm just saying know what you are using it for.
