I learned that it looked terrible on me the hard way in 3rd grade.....
Which for the record emans yes I do know what it is. Ralts just never looked like that stuff on his head hair, is all.
EDIT: This isn't the first time I misunderstood the design of a pokemon, mind you. For the longest time I thought those pink things on diglett and dugtrio were mouths rather than noses.

I misunderstood the nose on a Wailrein before. I thought it was a little blue head with two black eyes until I defeated the game... I was so embarrassed.

Walrein has a nose? It isn't just a bouncing lue ball with eyes!?!
(I'm being honest, I had no idea of this before...)

I know! I made that same mistake in fourth grade and hadn't figured it out until sixth grade!

It took you that long to beat the game?! And anyway, it's even worse for me...I've had the game for....like..... probably close to three years now, I've beaten it so many times I stopped trying to count, and I never noticed that wailmer has a nose. I'm in fact half inclined to not belive you xD

Oh, THAT thing. Oh, wait, I think I noticed the thing had a nose before. Well either way my diglett mistake lasted a lot longer than 2 years. Let's see....hmmm, I recently figured it out after (adds up in head) between 5 1/2 and 6 years of playing pokemon. d**n, I've been playing this game for a while.
(Whoops, that's right, I was supposed to go study latin and get off the computer. Uh....right. Bye for real this time!)

Geez I feel old now...I mean I bought the original pokemon Red and Blue with the cash I earned from working at Taco Bell. I think the only real thing that ever confused me on the game was just...Drowzee. I mean, what's not to be confused about when looking at that pokemon? Every time I see it I just thing ZOMG WTF!?!

What confused me in the first game was that night shade was never super effective against psychics.

how is it supposed to do more damage when it does damage equal to your pokemons level

That's what I was confused about.
In RBY there isn't in-game details about moves like there is in the other versions so I had no idea it was set damage until I played Stadium.
New pokemon climbing my favorites list: Linoone. It can bare the burden of 3 HM's (cut, strength, and rock smash), it can learn covet, and has pickup. Probably the most useful in-game pokemon.

And in the metagame it learns belly drum AND extremespeed, making it one of the dadliest pokemon in existance.

Yeah, but I don't use him in Metagames unless its a 2v2 and I can get the other one to use Follow Me. If you don't you wind up cutting HP to a point where your opponent can easily KO it.

Psywave is another move that does the pokemon's level in damage. Personally, I always found Seismic Toss to be the most efficient somehow. In every game I've played Seismic Toss can damage ANYTHING, including Ghost types. Good stuffs if you have a high level, high HP pokemon with a low attack like Blissey or Clefable.
