My vote goes to Registeel.
Pump up its Sp. Def EVs and give it Iron Defense or Pump up its Def and give it Amnesia. Either way you get a pure steel tank.

In my personal opinion I don't feel that the Regi-Poke'mon should have ever been created...
They just seem like another pointless set of legendaries the good folks at Poke'mon are trying to throw at us to make the game interesting. In fact there are so many legendary Poke'mon today that they don't even seem that "legendary" anymore.
But since there's no "I don't like the Regis" poll option, I'll vote for the one who is my favorite type of the three, Registeel.

Miltank covers defense for me, so if I used one I'd use Regice for that beastly Sp. Def.

Gimme the ice since I really have no use for defense much.

How can you not have use for defense?

Barely use defense.(For video game battles. I'm a lot more of a Special Attack and Defense kind of girl. Mostly Speed over all)

That does not happen in this RPG however, should a Snorlax come my way.

who needs defense when you have pure power and speed. I won many battles with my tyranitar (inside netbalttle and out) plus he could wip all three of the regi's.
I would have used the regi's in the game, but they learn no good attacks that go with their stats.

I like Registeel because it is rounder than the others.

Especially if you play the Colloseum games, the legendaries just don't seem so rare. I will explain "rare legendary" and "virtually impossible to have" legendary;
The Regi's: Remanents of a lost civilization, the Regi's can be considered pokemon, but their origin is truely unknown.
The Birds: All five birds are exceedingly rare (6 if you include Aerodactly) are there more than 1? Well...only of Zapdos, Moltes and Articuno. Lugia and Ho-oh are a bit "one of a kind" though there is a legend that involves Ho-oh...
The Cats: Legendary in the fact that you rarely see them and never outside of Johto, the cats are not pokemon often catured, but are stalwart allies if they are.
Mew and Mewtwo: As far as anyone knows, there are only one of each of these pokemon. The odds of catching one are virtually non-existant. Though some claim to have seen them both, many trainers consider them only a legend.
Celebi: Almost as rare as mew, Celebi enjoys the company of humans, it just doesn't like to be confined to a pokeball. A couple have tried to catch it, but all have failed.
Latias/Latios: A couple can claim to have caught these rare pokemon, but in truth they are very hard to tame and most trainers release the playful pokemon after a few battles. To date only 1 Latios and 2 Latios have ever been permanently registered with the Pokemon League.
Kyogre/Groudon: Neither of these pokemon have been seen, much less captured. Many people delve into old legends to try and locate them, but nobody has ever managed to lacate them...yet...
Rayquaza: To date, only one person has ever managed to befriend a Rayquaza. It is a whimsical pokemon however and if unmotivated will not fight.
Jirachi: This pokemon has been sighted more often than Kyogre or Groudon, but less often then either Mew or Mewtwo. However, there are a couple of records of it being captured and trained, usually to disappear after the trainer dies.
Deoxys: Umm...how about no? Besides the fact that it looks dorky, I'm not really impressed with this pokemon. Plus it has virtually no backstory making it hard to include.

There was that one episode of the animé with the baby lugia, so that's at least 3 Lugia in the world, assuming the baby's mother wasn't the lugia from the movie.

Hmm...point taken. So maybe there are a few more Lugia around, and if anyone is familiar with the translation of the name Ho-oh and oriental legends, then you'd understand what I mean when I say you need to own a dying dragon in order to get a Ho-oh.

Rei could steadily poison her Alteria.. er wait no! That would be wrong! Maybe if I had a dragonite though.. NO! EVIL THOUGHTS!

Well, the Altaria thing wouldn't work because it'd be cured the moment it returned to the pokeball. Dragonite on the other hand...hmmm...not I have a plot idea for later at least >
