It's a longish march due South, and when you finally get in you see it's worse than "Team Rocket's in Goldenrod'... Team Rocket's practically taken over Goldenrod! Pandemonium is all over the place, with men in black rushing around and civilians being shoved into their homes and locked in. There's a big ghgathering at the radio tower, too thick to get in, but there is the basement of Goldenrod where most of them are uspposedly gathered...
Antilochus is obviously very frightened by all this, curling up around your leg.

David pats Antilochus on the head. "Doesn't this look like fun, Antilochus? The whole town is in a big game of prison tag. See? When those guys in black catch up to you and beat you in a pokemon match, you have to go to 'jail.'"
I just hope we don't "get caught". Shouldn't Banov and that guy with the dragonite be here somewhere? Well, let's see what I have to work with around here. David pondered as he picked up Antilochus and carefully crept into the basement.

As you creep into the basement, you hear a few loud violent coughs and a sneeze. Upon looking at the source you see none other than Banov's master; enshrouded in his cloak as usual, although through it you can see his eyes are worn- he looks awful.
Other than that the basement is clear of any activity, save a few vacant stands and the muffled yelling and screaming from the above ground.

David walked up to the man in the cloak and exchanged hellos with him.
"So, what's been happening so far? Do you have a plan I can help with to stop these guys?"
(Sorry, B-man, I'm tired. It's bed time for me.)

He opens his mouth and then coughs again, wheezing and and looking at you like you're crazy.
"A plan? No, I can't say that. I'm all in black so I've been taken by ne of them, but I'm sick at the moment- bad sick- so I'm in no condition to try and infiltrate anything. And of course, my apprentice, not even investigating just leaps headlong into the focus of their attack with a partner rather than their base, which is farther down here."
At some point he had begun to ramble. Either way, it see,ms the wayto go is deeper into the base. However, you could just barge in and attack...
Or maybe borrow some balck garments and go undercover?

Well, no sense in bringing this guy along. Better go down that passage way and see where it leads. Better be careful, though. Don't want to take them on all at once.
"Come on, Antilochus."

At the far end of the white hallway is a door, which of sourse you enter. There's a foreboding staircase in the next room, which of course you climb down- Coming a dark room. There are pipes all over the place, and you can hear the light sounds of machinery in the background- this is the true basement of Goldenrod City.

"Antilochus, will you do me a favor? Those machines that are making all this noise are awfully loud and they are hurting my ears. So when we get to where they are, will you hit them with a thunder wave to turn them off?"
(After Antilochus responds he and David will head towards the machines.)

You to head through the dim light, finding a large chugging machine and immedietly zapping it with thunder wave.
All light vanishes from both the basement and all of Goldenrod City.
Looks like you just zapped down the city power generator. Smooth move. Well, with any luck you've sabotaged something.
Soon afterward you hear muffled yells from several directions; evidently your actions are drawing in a crowd, as the yells seem to be getting closer and preparing to converge on your spot. Think fast!

David quickly recalled Antilochus after thanking him for his work.
Hopefully, seeing the recall beam'll bring whoever is out there to me. He thought as he felt his way to the other side of the machine where he released Cerberus.
He placed his hand on Cerberus's mouth to tell him to stay quiet and said, in a whisper, "You're the only one that can fight in the dark. Smell where your opponents are and attack when I give the signal. Two claps for attack, three claps to return to me. Also, get ready to use faint attack at a moments notice in case they have flash lights."
He placed his hand on top of Cerberus's head. "Nod once if you don't understand that. Nod twice if you do, then go out there and get ready for my signal."

It nods once, creeping out into the open at an eery silence that almost makes you question if it's actually there. Suddenly, the light of flashlights bursts into your view, hitting the area where you were earlier and where cerebus was; it, however, sensed the approaching trainers and leaped out of their view, having activated faint attack in the dark.
"There was deinitely somebody here..."
"This is bad; the radio broadcastwon't be operational again until we can charge thids baby back up; he'll be furious..."
"Well, hurry up and do it!"
You hear the signature sound of a pokemon being released, although you have no idea what pokemon it is. It can use electricity, evidently, as shown by the fact that ylou hear it sending electric bolts into the machine to help revive it.

David made two claps and shouted loudly so the noise would echo.
"The pokemon! Flamethrower! Hide again!"
I hope Cerberus got the message.
