Lorelei: Well, there's the Pokemon Center Splash, let's see if we can't find Professor Rage. And we'll get you looked at too, just to be sure you're all right after those battles.
Lorelei heads down the road and enters the Center, Splash at her heels.

When you enter the Pokemon center, the place is decently busy. After all, it's about mid-day and there is lots to do everywhere in town. You can see the man you are looking for on one of the couches watching the Pokemon News channel which seems to be going on about a couple battles over in Hoenn.

Lorelei heads up to the nurse on duty at the counter and gets Splash checked over first, then the pair of them go over to the man. Lorelei addresses him courteously.
Lorelei: Excuse me sir, are you professor Albert Rage?

The man will look up to you for a moment, a slight bit of confusion written upon his face.
Albert Rage: Yes....yes I am, and who might you be young lady?
If his fairly friendly response to you.

Lorelei smiles cheerfully.
Lorelei: I'm Lorelei, and this is Splash.
Lorelei indicates her mudkip.
Lorelei: Something came up, so Professor Oak sent me to meet you instead of coming himself.

Prof. Rage will stand and offer a hand to her.
Rage: Then I am glad tp make your aquiaintance. I am Proffessor Albert Rage from Rage Lake, Johto. My son should be back shortly. He was hungry.

Lorelei shakes the professor's hand firmly.
Lorelei: There's no hurry as far as I'm concerned. Pleased to meet you as well.
Splash yips her own greeting to the professor.

Prof. Rage looks down at the excitable little pokemon at her feet.
Rage: Well...it looks like you train pokemon as well. You little one seems very energetic. Just like a few of the Magikarp up in the lake.

Lorelei laughs and bends down to pet Splash who looks mildly offended.
Lorelei: Splash is a lot better then a Magikarp, I assure you.
Splash makes a sound that definately sounds like agreement.

Prof. Rage gives a small laugh.
Rage: I apologize for offending you both. I only meant to point out that an energeting pokemon is a happy pokemon. Lake Rage is known for two things...the sheer amount of Magikarp and the largest collection of Gyrados in one lake.

Splash yips in a conciliatory fashion, padding over to Professor Rage and nudging his leg.
Lorelei: I think she forgives you. If there are a lot of Gyrados, it must make swimming a little risky in Lake Rage.

Prof. Rage nods in affirmation while reaching down to pet Splash.
Rage: Only in the deeper sections. To be honest, many people go fishing on the lack and we rarely have anyone hurt unless they are specifically looking of Gyrados and manage to upset one.

Splash barks contentedly as Lorelei shakes her head.
Lorelei: I don't think I'd want to go looking for a Gyrados unless I had a pokemon I was really, really sure could handle a battle against one. I've heard they can be a bit grumpy.

Prof. Rage gives another nod.
RageL Yes, that is certainly true, but once you know how to deal with them that are like any other pokemon with their own likes and dislikes. Gyarados just dislike more things than other pokemon.

Lorelei considers this.
Lorelei: Just like people, then. Some like almost everything, and are always cheerful. Some, like the Gyrados, dislike a lot of things, and that's why they're always grumpy.
