Now that Ditto is withnig reaching range of the briefcase, it looks around for something with arms to transform into, the only pokemon fitting that requirement being Ninjask. Momants later, the Ditto/Ninjask picks up the briefcase and darts over to Recon with the cargo. The real Ninjask blurs into two ninjasks as it uses the evasive move and Mashtomp sets itself solidly to take the Bubblebeam attack. In the end, bubblebeam makes the cave even more wet but doesn't manage to do much to the real ninjask. The Aqua member smiles, "Now Marill!" The marill nods then focuses its energy on the groud before changing its attack from Bubblebeam to Ice beam. Seconds after the change, the entire floor has become a sheet of muddy ice.

Recon takes the briefcase from Ditto/Ninjask.
Recon: Good work buddy, feel free to change into whatever you'd be most comfortable with, and enjoy the rest of this battle.
Ditto/Ninjask: Niiinjask!
Recon: Marshtomp, hang in their buddy, Ninjask, use Sand-Attack on Marill!
Marshtomp: Maaaarsh..
Ninjask: Niiinjaaaassk!
((I'm assuming you'll tell me when Bide goes off))

((Yep, yep! No worries there.))
The sand attack hits Marill, but since it's hard to miss the ground, it doesn't affect the pokemon at this time. Mashtomp shifts as the water and mud at its feet freezes over, making it hard, but not impossible to move. The damage from the hit soaking and adding to the damage it will deal as Mashtomp winds up and then launches a punch at Marill. Marill obviously didn't count on the long arms of Marshtomp and takes the hit right in the stomch, sending the smaller and lighter pokemon reeling. The pirate frowns deeply when he sees the briefcase in Recon's hands, but ther's not much to do, but escape now. The Aqua member gets a slight run and then slides along the ice to try and pass Recon, hoping to get out before he's caught. Ditto/Ninjask looks at the Marill and then launches a scratch attack at the recovering pokemon. This being the first time it has transformed into the Ninjask, it's not quite sure of all the moves.

Recon: You shouldn't abandon your pokémon!
((so do we roll initiative for this? lol))
Recon swings his arm around in an attempt to strike the pirate in his chest, to knock him down, hoping he'll slip on the ice.

((Nah, I'm not worried about it. I'm just gonna go by reactions right now.))
The arm hits the pirate in the chest, sending him sprawling as he loses control and careens into the wall. Though he's still past Recon at this point. "I'm not abondoning, just using it as a diversion." The pirate hold the pokeball up, recalling his water type to him before trying to get up.

Recon sighs loudly and bashes the Pirate in the head with the briefcase as hard as he can.
((With my reasonable Dex, and considering he's prone, and waiting on his pokémon to fully recall, I should have a pretty good chance to hit him.))
Recon: Marshtomp, hit this guy with a Mud Shot, Ninjask and Ditto, some Sand-Attacks on him if you'd please!
Marshtomp: Maaaarshtomp!
Ninjask: Nihihihihjaaask!
Ditto/Ninjask: Niiinjask jask!
((It's almost 9AM CST, I've got some errands to run, I'll be back later.))

(No worries. If I'm not here, I'll be back about midnight tomorrow)
The briefcase, combined with the rest of the pokemon attacks causes the Aqua pirate to make a very undignified sound as he attempts to struggle to his feet. However it is all in vain as the force of the attacks renders the pirate unconcious and dirty on the slick cavern floor.

Recon frowns and looks back at his three pokémon.
Recon: Good work everyone, even though it's not generally a good thing... to attack humans with your techniques, but this man is a criminal and must be brought to the proper authorities.
Marshtomp: Maawshtomp maaaarsh, maharsh!
Recon nods and slides off his backpack rummaging for some rope.
Recon: Ditto, if you could please stay in that form, as to help Ninjask keep an eye on this guy while we transport him back to town, I'd greatly appreaciate it.
Ditto/Ninjask: Niiiinjassssk!
After finding the rope, Recon will tie up the pirate with the best of his ability. Binding the ankles, then wrists, then using the remainder of the rop to bind the arms.
((Perhaps knowledge from living on his own for 5 years, building his tree fort, hanging around Mr. Briney and whatever else.))
Recon: Marshtomp, I'll need you to help me carry me him if his weight is too much, Ninjask and Ditto please fly behind me, so you can keep an eye on anyhing he might do if he wakes up.
When Recon is done tying up the pirate, he'll take his pokéballs (Not stealing, just disarming) and put them in his backpack, Then he'll attempt to carry him on his shoulders ((With my bad ass Str of 15.)) If not, he'll carry him with assistance from Marshtomp, and if that's still not enough combined strength, the two flying bugs as well will assist. Also, before he leaves the Tunnel, Recon will have a quick look around to spot any possible paths for his later trek through to the other side.

With the pirate securely tied up, both Recon and Marshtomp will have to carry him. (dead weight being more of a pain to carry than moving weight) However, the landslide has fully blocked off the tunnel, there is no way to be able to go this way at all, you will have to go the long way to Verdanturf. Thankfully, the trip back to town is much faster since you don't actually have to hunt someone down. The businessman will perk up at the sight of you and rush over to help, "Thank you! Thank you young man! You've saved my career. We shall drop this thief at the police and then we shall head over to Devon Corp to get you your reward!"

Recon smiles and looks down at his feet.
Recon: Yes we should get this criminal to authorities, and if it's okay with you, I'll need to make a quick stop by the pokémon after we hand him over.
Recon will head over to the police station (Wherever it is Rustboro, because I know the game isn't as detailed as it should be.)), He'll give them a full and honest account of everything that happened in Rusturf Tunnel.
Then he'll proceed to the pokémon center, to heal his own pokémon, and return them to their balls, he'll hand over the pokéballs of the pirate, and tell the nurse about what happened, and since the trainer has been arrested, that she might want to hold on to them, because she might have to put them up for adoption.
He'll then follow the businessman over to Devon.
((I hope you don't think I'm God-Modding at all, I'm just trying to get a lot of the mundane stuff out of the way.))

((Don't worry about it. Modding is when you say that an attack will hit, where it hits and how much damage it does to someone else. Saying that the pithy stuff is done isn't modding, it's skipping over the mundane. Kinda like how you never have to go to the bathroom in hero books or games unless it furthers the plot...))
The Devon businessman shakes his head, "Don't worry about it. I'll wait for you until all your errends are done."
Once the trip to the pokemon center is over, the Devon man will lead you to the biggest building in town and usher you inside. He'll smile at the secretary on the first floor, "Hello Darlene. We'll need a visiter pass for this young man." The secretary will take something out from under the counter and hand the clip-on pass to Recon while the Devon man signs a piece of paper. Once the paperwork is done he'll lead you up to the second floor and give a broad wave of his hand, "Welcome to Devon Corp Research and Development."

Recon: I'm afraid I don't know much about the company you work for, only that it makes items for pokémon, like pokéballs, and.. potions I think?
Recon clips the pass to his shirt and when he arrives on the second floor, and is told what this area is, he'll observe his immediate surroundings for anything of interest.

The Devon man nods, "Yes, we make all those items here, however, we're also the people who developed the Berry Mixers, the Link computers, and our most recent creation....the Pokenav!"

Recon looks up at him, it's obvious that he's trying to determine the meaning of the word Pokénav.
Recon: Pokénav? Most things that begin with "Poké" often means Pokémon, like Pokéballs are Pokémon Balls, and Pokémart means Pokémon Mart, but Nav? hmm.. I'm thinking either it's a Pokémon Navigator, or Pokémon Naval.. and the only thing that makes sense is Pokémon Navigator..
Recon tilts his head and squints his eyes.
Recon: Is it some sort of device that tells you where to find pokémon? or.. tracks Pokémon?

The Devon man smiles, "Exactly. The Pokenav allows you to use a standard map feature, but also lets you see the spots where it is easiest to catch a specific pokemon. That doesn't mean you can't catch it elsewhere, but the Nav only shows the common spots. Some Nav's include a Ranking feature that allow you to see the rarity of the pokemon as well. There are a few tournaments that allow only a certain rarity." he takes a small breath to let it all soak in.
