Hey guys...
For a little while, I've been considering training more than just 6 pokemon. I think it's a good idea, since then I can have more of a variety of pokemon and have an overall bigger collection of strong ones... and maybe then make a my team a little unpredictable. However, of course, you can only ever hold six, so I'd have to keep a bunch in storage, and to train them would have to regularly switch, which would lower all of my levels overall. I think that the same rules would apply to you guys- so I want your opinion. Would it be cheating if I made it possible to increase the levels of pokemon in boxes once in a while so they don't fall behind? Like, whenever you beat a main plot point, Icould pump up their levels so they're still at equal levels as your other pokemon. You know, stuff like that.

Do whatever just as long as you don't make your pokemon uber tough. I'm fine with my 6.

Not uber tough- just at the same level.

If you do that, they'd all have to advance very slowly. As if all of them were holding exp. shares.

Hmmmmmm...
Then again, I do have the invaluble tool of being off-screen for long periods of time when neccessary. I could always spend my off-screen time leveling my stored pokemon ^_^

I would have to agree on the off-screen training. After all, much of trainign is slow and tedious, not something for the actual RPG itself. As for the slow exp while stored, it's not a big deal, to be honest it's a good idea. Just still try to get them all a little face time when you have the chance. After all, the pokemon that stays in your box isn't fulfilling it's potention. Better to trade the pokemon to someone who will train it.

Oh, I plan to use them all regularly, it's just a question of whether it would affect their levels since I can only carry six.

Nah, not really. You know, pokemon talk to each other and they'll learn stuff that way too. Move learning will still be at my whim, but other than that, the basic levels will go up evenly.

But we're using the Cartoon rules technically..or maybe the Pokemon Closium 2 rules...you know, where the creature gets tired and runs off, but if you fully knock it out you can catch it.

We're using the cartoon's rules? So Banov's pikachu could KO an onix with its electricity.
