(Dave) After you knock, there are a few moments before a young girl comes and answers the door, "Hello. Are you here to make Poffins too?" "Actually I was wondering what poffins were. See, I'm kind of new to the region and I want to find out about this place." ((By the way, Rock, what's your rping schedule going to be?))

((Trevor )) The immediate thing you would notice about route 209 is that in addition to the large areas of open grass is a few rivers that are easily visible. It looks to be quite a peaceful area for the most part, though things can be decieving. ___________________________________________________ (Dave) The girl smiles and ushers you into the building, "A poffin is used to increase the shininess of the coat of your pokemon, but we in Sinnoh use a poffin which is a baked carefully and tends to be healthier for your pokemon than the candy used in Johto."

Rivers or no, there's only one thing for Trevor to do, and that's go forward. He begins marching East, the missus and porygon both levitating close behind.

"Ok, that's pretty cool. I could use them to motivate my pokemon. Like a treat. What do I have to do to get one?"

(Trevor)
The route would not be too overly hard since there are bridges, however on one bridge is a young boy laughing at another who had just lost a pokemon battle, "Come on, you actually have to train to use a pokemon. Yours are wimps!"

(Dave)
The young girl smiles as she replies, "All you need is a berry...if you don't have one, I have a few extra!" She then bounds over to a strange bowl and motions you over."

In his mind, Trevor grinned, though on the outside he kept a cold, menacing look. As he passed by the shouting trainer he said, "Stop barking so loudly. It's unsightly."
Heh heh... I must look so cool right now. would be the general translation of his deepest thoughts at that moment.

Dave follows eager to see how these "puffins" are made. He plans on making one right after the girl shows him how.

(Trevor)
THe boy turns and looks at you before frowning, "Hey! I'm the toughest trainer on this route! That sounds like a challenge to me! Let's battle...Bidoof go!"
______________________________________________
(Dave) The kid takes out a berry and grinds it up before adding it into a mixute and placing the entire thing on the stove. Slowly she mixes it one way, careful not to spill. IT starts to get thicker and then she stirs the other way, "You have to be careful not to spill...but also careful not to burn it too! It was tough when I started." When it finally looks done, she takes it off the stove and then breaks it in half, "Here! They're tasty! This one was made with an Oran berry."

A battle? It had been a while since Trevor had actually fought another trainer. And he'd never used porygon in a real trainer vs trainer fight- so, this seemed to be a good opportunity.
"Porygon, take him on." Trevor said calmy, motioning for porygon to come forward. "We'll start off easy. Porygon, use agility, boost up speed while you take the first hit. Then, follow that with a conversion 2 and attack with Tri Attack."

The boy smiles and calls out, "Ok Bidoof! Let's get him with Headbutt and then follow up with Rollout!" Porygon would take the Headbutt, the attack hurting, but Porygon was never really affected by physical pain...it wasn't programmed too. The first round of Rollout was easy to take as well as Porygon makes itself resistant...now to normal type attacks...It would be the next round that makes things interesting as the Tri attack hits the Bidoof. Mid roll, Bidoof shudderd from parilization and sprawls on the floor. "Bidoof!"

"Porygon, smack him with signal beam... then start circling around him, use your speed to help confuse him and take advantage of his slowing disability. As you move I want you to use recover... then finish it off with another tri attack."
The chance of confusion from signal beam would stack nicely with existing paralysis. If he played it right, Trevor could finish this first pokemon and come out without any wounds.

Dave pops it in his mouth and swallow.
"Hey, this is pretty good. Could I get a few for my pokemon? Do I need to pay you or do some favor for you for them?"

Trevor
The kid, having not really known anything about a Porygon, calls out to his Bidoof, "Come on...use Headbutt. Something. You can't let a pokemon as strange looking as THAT beat you!" Still it would only be a matter of rounds before the Bidoof is called back, "Awww man, figures I'd be beat by a strange pokemon and a stranger trainer."
___________________________________________________ Dave
The young girl shakes her head, "Of course you can get a few!" She smiles and grabs a couple pre-made ones and a couple berries, "Here you go! To get you started! Just tell people about them, that's all I ask. You have a poke'nav?"

Trevor lets his face show a dignified grin before he hides it under a forced, cold exterior. "No matter how good you think you are, always remember that there's somebody better."
With that he continues on his way, slightly disappointed but feeling quite confident in himself as he journeys toward Veilstone. Hey... maybe he'd have a chance against the gym leader when he got there.

It would not be long before the area would be coated in a fine, though still see throughable mist. Almost like the one rumored to be at Lavendar Town on occasion.
